Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & Compliance Disclosures
Last updated October 2, 2026
VouchEx maintains a risk-based AML program aligned with tiered KYC, transaction monitoring, and enhanced due diligence for high-value or high-risk activity.
First-trade external withdrawal hold
3-hour security lock (first external crypto withdrawal)
After your first completed P2P trade, the first outbound transfer to an external on-chain address is subject to a mandatory 3-hour cooling period from the time you submit the withdrawal. Internal escrow and marketplace balances are unaffected. The wallet UI displays an active countdown until the hold expires.
$5,000+ photo ID gate
Single trades or rolling 24-hour volume exceeding USD 5,000 equivalent require Level 2 verification: government photo ID (front and back) plus Sumsub liveness 3D scan. Trades cannot enter escrow until status is Verified or manually approved by compliance.
Third-party payment proof
When sellers allow third-party fiat, buyers receiving bank transfers from non-matching names must upload a bank statement or payment trail showing the payer relationship before marking paid. Failure to provide proof may result in dispute resolution favoring the seller and account restrictions.
Monitoring & reporting
We screen wallets and counterparties against sanctions lists, monitor velocity anomalies, and file suspicious activity reports where required by law. Users must provide accurate KYC data; falsified documents lead to permanent bans and law-enforcement referral.
